Inland Empire Law Center

The Inland Empire Law Center (“IELC”) was established to provide quality legal services that is affordable, efficient, and effective.  We provide 3 distinct legal services, any of which is aimed to satisfy your legal needs:

The First legal group provides formal legal representation by a competent and experienced attorney whether or not you are actually involved in a lawsuit. This formal representation is conducted by the Law Offices of Peter J. Babos.  www.baboslaw.com.  Its primary goal is to provide all clients with the most personal one-on-one attention while focusing on a practical approach to accomplishing the legal needs of each unique client in each and every case. Clients receive the utmost professional representation from a trusted and experienced attorney. The firm’s primary philosophy is to provide the most competent legal services in a timely and efficient manner, and at an affordable cost that is proportionate to the client’s particular case and circumstances.

We have the full legal resources to match a large firm’s client support and efficiency, complete with state-of-the-art technology and electronic legal research capabilities. Additionally, as a small firm, we provide our clients with the kind of personal, hands-on attention larger firms rarely offer. Our clients deal directly with a single attorney throughout the case, and receive individualized attention to ensure optimal service and results. Personal service and consistent client communication is our primary emphasis. The law firm is primarily engaged in the practice areas of real estate, business, probate/estate planning, and family law. We are also very familiar and experienced in handling legal matters and cases in the areas of personal injury, entertainment, employment law, and intellectual property.

The Second tier of the IELC provides professional legal document preparation through an independent paralegal.  This is conducted by Ms. Kym Adams, a certified legal document assistant, who is licensed and bonded, operating under Adams Court Services since 1986.  Ms. Adams provides legal document assistance in the areas of divorce, wills and trusts, deed transfers, small claims, landlord-tenant, powers of attorney, and more. www.adamscourtservices.com. These services are offered to the customer at more affordable rates than typical legal fees charged by the Law Offices of Peter J. Babos.  This will oftentimes be the suggested course of action by even Mr. Babos himself.  Ms. Adams works with clients to see if her paralegal services are adequate, and, if not, attorney Peter Babos is there to take over necessary and formal legal representation.

The Third tier of IELC provides private mediation services that are non-binding and confidential in nature.  Mr. Babos and Ms. Adams provide unique co-mediation sessions primarily in divorce and family law cases, but host other highly qualified and experienced mediators in other areas of law.  This service is provided under our affiliated member – the Inland Empire Mediation Group.

Kym Adams - IE Law Center

About Kym Adams

Kym Adams started her legal career as a paralegal in a law office in 1996.  By 1998 she formed her own business as a licensed legal document assistant in Hemet, California. Her business grew and she became more established and successful by helping hundreds of individuals resolve their legal disputes out of court by way of alternative dispute resolution.  In 2008, looking to expand her business, she attended the Institute of Conflict Management “ICM” – a 40 hour mediation course in Santa Monica, California. Thereafter, she was passionate about becoming a successful mediator. She began mediating for the Riverside Superior Court and also focused on cross cultural mediation with attorney Mark Ameli, currently a high profiled mediator with ADR Services.

In 2009, she joined L.A. Mediators and volunteered her time and energy, including driving hundreds of miles traveling from Hemet to Los Angeles and back to promote L.A. Mediators. Her passion and energy paid off and a few months later she was appointed the Executive Director. That appointment opened up a new door for her into the Dispute Resolution Program Act “DRPA” world. As she continued to educate herself about DRPA funds and the non-profit arena, she applied for a position as Executive Director with the Inland Valley Justice Center “IVJC”.  In January 2010 she was hired as the E.D. of IVJC. As E.D. of IVJC she managed two major DRPA contracts in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties and directed over twenty plus mediators in the San Bernardino Superior Court ADR system.

For over two years, her panel of mediators held strong with over a 90% success rate in resolving court disputes. In 2012 she was appointed a member of the California State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution “ADR” Committee. Her passion and energy didn’t stop there as she continued to pursue her dream of building a formidable ADR organization within the Inland Empire, with the drive to expand throughout Southern California. For years, she was mentored by Robert Tessier Esq. (high profiled mediator at Judicate West), and she continued to educate herself by taking several mediation courses and joined several mediation organizations.  Kym also headed the first Victim Offender Restorative Justice Mediation Program in San Bernardino County working with the San Bernardino Probation Department on a pro-bono basis.

In late 2012, her divorce mediation and document assistant practice blossomed and she began to mediate with Peter J. Babos Esq., expanding from Riverside County to Los Angeles. In 2013 she partnered up with Peter to form CEDRS – Center For Effective Dispute Resolution Services which offered private mediation services in Los Angeles and Riverside counties.  CEDRS has since become the Inland Empire Mediation Group, an affiliate of the Inland Empire Law Center.  Kym is a partner in IELC which offices in Riverside.  She continues her mediation services while still conducting her legal document assistant practice.  www.adamscourtservices.com.
